The annual Corey Lake Association Poker Run will take place on August 5, 2017!

This is a fun filled fund raising event for the Corey Lake Association which helps to look after and monitor our beautiful Corey Lake. Everyone is welcome and you do not need to be a CL Association member to participate, but you will need a boat! Funds raised from this event are used as follows: after expenses, 50% of the poker run proceeds go to the top three poker hand winners and the remaining balance will be used to support Lake Associations efforts and will also be shared with:

• The Fabius Park Fire Department to help them in their ongoing efforts to purchase a Rescue Boat which would become available to support emergency responses on Corey and all other waterways served by our local Fire & Rescue Responders.
• The St. Joseph County Sherriff’s Department Dive Rescue Team to support their ongoing rescue programs and equipment needs.
• Camp Eberhart to support their camper scholarship programs.

To participate you may purchase a “hand”of cards for $20 each. Hands are available for purchase until sold out at:

So now you have your tickets, what now? This event is not a race, it is a game of cards combined with a fun filled scavenger hunt on Corey Lake! Participants “play their hands” by boat, collecting a single card at five fun themed stops which are scattered around the lake. Players must find each of these stops using clues provided to them with their with purchased hand instructions. When your poker hand is complete with 5 cards being collected, head over to the Camp Eberhart Island Sand Bar where hands are submitted to the Judges Table for final scoring. While you wait for the scores enjoy some fun and goodies which will be available on the Island, 2017 Poker Run Tee Shirts will also be available for purchase.

NOTE: Alcohol is NOT PERMITTED ON THE ISLAND and PROPER BEHAVIOR and safe boating is expected at all times.
